Bloodroot Paste Recipe

  • 1 heaping Tablespoon bloodroot
  • 1teaspoon olive oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon beeswax

    • In a mortar or clean coffee grinder, grind root to a powder. Put powder into a small bowl and set aside. In a small pan, heat oil and beeswax until beeswax melts. Pour mixture evenly into bowl with the root powder. Mix thoroughly and pack into a jar or tin. When using paste, cover with an adhesive bandage to keep paste in place.

     

    Deodorant Recipe

  • 4 ounces 100proof grain alchohol
  • 28 ounces purified water
  • 1/4 cup thyme leaf
  • 1/4 cup white willow bark
  • 1/4 cup witch hazel leaf
  • 3/4 teaspoon Lavendar essential oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon Birch essential oil

    • In a 32 ounce jar, combine herbs. Mix alchohol and water and pour in to jar with herbs to fill.Screw cap tightly on jar. Let steep, shaking occasionally for 3 weeks.Strain liquid through muslin cloth. Return liquid to clean jar,add essential oils, Screw cap tightly on jar, shake vigorously.Let set and shake twice more over the course of a day.Shake well before decanting into spray bottles.
